CARP-FISHING.ORG.UK a Happy Fisherman is a Carp Fisherman

A website by fishermen for fishermen

The big beautiful carp that we all dream of catching. It was in the past centurys the monks used the carp as a scource of food, It was the monks who used to dig out a ponds, fill them with carp as it was a fast growing fish available, and still is, then when times were hard and needs must, catch a few fish out of the recently dug ponds and there you had carp on a friday, or any other day of the week you pleased. What a lot we owe the monks for and how the sport of carping has grown and grown.

From a piece of cane and a bent pin to the sport we all love today, no more taking the fish home just because you could. The pleasure today is trying to catch what at times can be the most finicky of fish, tempted with all maner of baits from the tooti fruity boilie to the common garden worm, with hunderds of baits in between, I must have tried the lot in my time and have found out over the years that if the fish are not feeding then no matter what you try you end up with a blank day, but thankfully this is not very often. But when the big carp feed and you are in the right place at the right time, well boy what a thrill, a 30 pounder in the net, you can`t beat it.

I hope you enjoy this website, I will try to give you a site you will use, as you will see some of the pages are not  yet finished but I only started this site on the 20th April 2007 so please bear with me.

I have included a list via the link on the top left to the UK Weather Stations, there are several dozen so you should find one near your area, it helps to know before you set off the conditions.  I hope you find it usefull.

There is a list of all the carp waters by county all will in time be hyperlinked to the fishery with an aerial view also of that fishery. This I find very usefull on some waters that I have not visited before, It shows the water from above, if the water  was clear when taken will also show the deep and shallow water, you can then print it off before you go and at least it gives you a view of tyhe shallow and deep water. As you will know some water now have catfish in, I have included these waters also.,

Requirements:

This template includes a sample FrontPage form. If you want to use FrontPage forms, your web site will need to be published on a server that has FrontPage extensions. Check with your hosting provider to make sure that you can use FrontPage forms on your site. If not, delete the FrontPage form and create your own scripting for a form.

Features:

  • Multi-page FrontPage 2002 - 2003 web template.
  • Easy table-based layout and external CSS file.
  • Fixed-width layout with expanding background provides readability while still looking great at higher resolutions.
  • Customer contact form with customized thank you page.
  • Include pages used for navigation, copyright, and site name for quick and easy editing.
  • Tested to work in IE6+, Opera 7+, Mozilla and Firefox.
  • Validated CSS. Validated XHTML 1.1 Strict.

Important Note:

We have used an external style sheet which defines the colors, links, bullets, table/cell sizes and more. This results in cleaner coding so your pages load faster.

However, because the FrontPage "design" view is not as sophisticated at displaying CSS properly, some content areas may appear to be out of alignment and/or not sized correctly. While this may seem confusing at first glance, you will find it is just as easy to keep previewing your site in a browser as you make changes. You will still be able to edit your text and add content as you normally would. After you save, go to File > Preview in Browser to view your site in a browser and ensure that is looks as it should.

And Finally

After a good days fishing its time for a few beers
